Sedokan is one of the 5 prisoners that the examiner Lippo uses to test the applicants on the Path of Majority Rules in the Trick Tower in the 287th Hunter Exam. He is a skinny man with medium-length, straight hair that covers half of his face. As serial bomber, Sedokan was given a punishment of 149 years in prison for his crimes. For each hour he and his fellow prisoners can stall the applicants during the Third Phase, 1 year will be subtracted from their sentences.
After Sedokan and his teammates challenge Gon's team to a best-of-five series, he takes part in the 2nd match against Gon. Saying that he is not suitable for a physical match, he holds out 2 candles of different lengths and tells Gon to choose one. They will light them simultaneously and whoever has his candle go out first loses. In fact he has prepared 4 candles and no matter which candle Gon picks, he is always going to end up with one that burns extremely fast. Gon however is able to capitalize on the strong flame of his candle to blow out Sedokan's candle first.
Despite his quick defeat, in the end Sedokan still has his sentence cut down by 50 years thanks to his teammates winning a total of 50 hours from Gon's team.
